Raymond’s Mother

Like Whistler’s Mother and many other artist’s subjects, our family members make for readily available subject matter. My mom was probably sitting around near me so I made a study of her face.

It is amazing how much feeling you can capture in a sketch. What great memories of a wonderful woman who thought so much of your artwork.
